The Challenge
Centrica were looking for an effective way to share information between the distributed teams of British Gas Business. Recognising the benefits of Web 2.0 they selected the Telligent Evolution platform and decided to run a pilot. With limited time to prove the benefits of the solution the timescales were extremely tight. Furthermore, with no immediate capacity to host the platform, alternative hosting solutions were required.
The Solution
Within two weeks we had installed and configured the first release of the Evolution platform on the Amazon cloud hosting environment. This release contained virtually no customisation with only light branding being applied to ensure familiarity with employees. Workshops were then undertaken within Centrica to enable representatives from various British Gas Business teams to understand how to best configure the platform for wider use.
Over the next 9 months True Clarity supported the project with occasional updates to provide new features not available in the core solution.
