Eduserv Chest

Eduserv Chest

The challenge

Eduserv provide software and IT services to organisations working in education, but when they needed to replace one of their own legacy systems they weren’t keen to tackle it themselves. So they called on us.

Eduserv Chest's main business support system consisted of many interlinked MS Access databases. Eduserv wanted to:

  • Increase the efficiency of their business support team
  • Offer more products to clients
  • Improve their direct customer support
  • Use existing contact details to generate more business
  • Safeguard data
  • Reduce the support burden by integrating website support

The solution

First we carried out what we call a True Clarity Discovery™ exercise – in this case a detailed end-to-end business process review. The results allowed us to put together a solution proposal, supported by a full business case showing the expected ROI. We broke the project down into a series of milestones so progress could be validated at each step (an extremely useful reassurance for the client – and for us).

Then we used our True Clarity Framework™ to help us quickly prototype solutions in a series of iterations, getting users to feed back amends early on. They appreciate being involved – gaining valuable hands-on experience as well as a sense of inclusion – and we get crucial insights early enough to implement them however we need to.

We integrated Eduserv's system with a Sitecore .NET content management server, a product with excellent XML capabilities to send data between the hosting environment and the internal database.

The result

We’re at the point of user acceptance testing, and so far the feedback is extremely positive. The users are excited, and we’re looking forward to reaching full launch very soon.
