Background
Without understanding the bigger picture of your business needs, it’s hard to give
a solution that we can be sure will stand the test of time. Which is why we usually
start projects with a consultancy phase.
The True Clarity approach
Our approach is to consider our client’s business needs up to three years into the
future. We begin by working with you to evaluate all the business and IT issues
you face. We identify the key points of strain, the key problems, failures, weaknesses
and opportunities. Then we look at who all the stakeholders are, both internal and
external. Finally, we help you establish a vision of where you want to be, taking
into account both the potential risks you face and the opportunities you’re not
currently grasping.
Then we examine your existing systems to see how they can be adapted and look at
any new applications that are needed.
- We call this systematic method QSD – Qualitative Systems Dynamics – something we’ve
developed in association with the School Of Management at Southampton University.
The True Clarity solution
Out of this process emerges a Strategy Document that includes a careful costing
and calculation of the ROI. We test that strategy by getting buy-in from all the
key members of staff who will be involved in implementing it – and where necessary,
we adapt the strategy on the basis of their feedback.
Now we’re ready to begin the IT work proper – but because we’ve already spent time
understanding your business in depth, we can work more quickly and accurately, as
well as keeping the solution flexible.
